| Supersonic Guitars In 3-D, Los Straitjackets Yep Roc Records, YEP2047
Los Straitjackets play all kinds of instumental music, based on 60s style surf sound, but sometimes quite modern with plenty of garage influences. And they do it in an utterly great manner. Lead guitarist, of course, is no-one less than guitar wizzard Eddie Angel, best known on the rockabilly scene for his guitar slinging for The Planet Rockers. I know that Los Straitjackets' musical ideas are not always well received by fans of autentic rockabilly and rock 'n' roll, but I just happen to be an Eddie Angel fan myself, so if you don't dig what I dig, just sit this one out or move to the next page or message... LOS STRAITJACKETS IN THE NETHERLANDS, CLICK HERE For those who choked on one of their previous releases "Sing Along with Los Straitjackets", let me tell you, the band is back to their normal doing, as long as you would call anything Eddie Angel does "normal". The guy is nuts, and I love him for it. This new album consist of 13 new instrumentals, utterly fantastic Straitjackets style. The cover is a beautifully designed four-folded sci-fi leaflet, and also included is a pair of original fifties 3-D glasses, so that you can listen to this new 3-D album with 3-D glasses on and enjoy all the dimensions. Cool!!
