All I Can Do Is Dream You, Sue Moreno

I got to know Sue Moreno through our mutual admiration for Elvis Presley. About 12-13 years ago. We were both part of the staff for a Dutch Elvis magazine. We discussed The King numerous times, but somehow she never really talked much about her own musical aspirations, which I think says a lot about her modest personality. The first time that I saw Sue perform was at an Elvis festival in 1999, and needless to say that I was pleasantly surprised. It's always difficult for any performer to sing Elvis songs, but she carried it off very well, focusing mainly on the lesser-known material from his vast repertoire.

Sue has worked very hard at her musical career in the three or four years since then, and being on the road with the likes of Paul Burlison, D.J. Fontana, Ace Cannon and Rocky Burnette has taught her a great deal about performing. Sue is now an exciting, all-round performer who with great ease performs a wide variety of material on stage, from thumping rockabilly to slow 'n' sexy love songs.

Which brings us to this album, her debut. A great deal of hard work has gone into bringing you the best of Sue Moreno. All songs were selected with great care by her, and reflect the wide variety of music that she enjoys singing. It's perhaps not really surprising that Elvis is represented with two songs, but the fact that she also covers songs by Marilyn Monroe and Ann-Margret might raise an eyebrow or two! Growing in a musical family family where she soaked up a wide range of music, this variety comes totally natural to her, and it's one of her strengths as a performer. "All I Can Do Is Dream You" proves that beyond any doubt. All songs are performed with the same same fire and enthusiasm that characterizes her live performances, and the result is a solid and consistent album that deserves a wide audience.
