The 28th September of 2003 was the date the Wildwood Rockers performed for the very first time in their original line-up. Guitar players Rene Lansink and Maurice ter Braak, drummer Manolito Konniger, bass player Frank Bunskock and front man Maarten Hozee, formed the band just a couple of month before and found themselves at the benefit concert for "Huize Pardoes" (something like the Ronald McDonald House) organised by the ladies wind band "Pardoes".

Original line-up Wildwood Rockers

It was a flying start for a lot of great gigs. After Rene Lansink left the band, the band went on as a quartet and singer Maarten began to play acoustic rhythm guitar. A successful period followed with a lot of gigs. After a couple of years fans started to ask for a CD. A list of songs was made and Hennie Korsten of the Session Sound Studio was contacted. The 25th and 26th of may 2007, sixteen songs were recorded "Live" in the studio. Not long after those recording sessions Frank Bunskock left the band and was replaced for a short time by Desmond Oostrom.

After a few months however Desmond couldn't disengage himself any longer. Lucky enough Freddy Vaanholt, the long time reserve bass player, got other work and was available to fill up the vacancy. The story continues with one of the highlights for the time, a trip to Denmark.
