|Planet Creep, Guitar Creepy!
Planet Creep is a trio founded in February 2001. Never mind the date, the boys do know what they want to convey. Planet Creep is terrific in producing a stomping, pitching mix of surf instrumentals, rock 'n' roll and sixties garagerock. You might remember founding member, vocalist and guitar picker Remi Groot from his earlier band The Crazy Tones, who's 1989 LP has recently been re-issued on CD by Rarity Records (with lotsa bonus tracks).
All Planet Creep numbers are self-made, self-produced and on top of this, the act is genuine. Stop thinking about the notorious sounds of the sixties such as "Link Wray", "Dick Dale and his Delltones". Time has changed its tune and a new course of music has been blowing our way ever since. Have you ever heard of bands like "Man or Astroman?" or the "Reverend Horton Heat?" Planet Creep flew at the new times and you will not be surprised to hear those pleasant caressing elements of the style from the days of yore like the slightly out of tune squealing, shrieking sound of the guitar, the wining jangling twangs of the bass. The drums, yes the drums are like a stampede of wild animals that ran amuck. But trust your instinct and check it out yourself.
All you need to know right now is that the first stage appearances have been made. Planet Creep gets on and has reached the point where talks are initiated with new label companies to record a number of their Sixties 'n' Surf titles. A fully fletched demo with no less than five crackles is ready to be enjoyed. Sound samples and video available the Planet Creep website!
